Notes

Using Ubuntu 8.04 on an Acer Aspire 5735-4624, the ath9k wireless driver is not terribly reliable. It had a tendency to disconnect frequently from my network. I bought an MVix 802.11n 'nubbin' and downloaded the Linux driver source from MVix. With a bit of coaxing I got it compiled, and disabled the ath9k in modprobe.d/blacklist. The nubbin works great. I don't know whether the 9.04, 9.10, or immanent 10.04 ath9k drivers would solve this.
