Introduction

This is a guide to running Linux with the Hewlett-Packard nx6120 laptop, model EA560PA. This notebook is certified to work with Novell Linux Desktop 9, so it is not hard to get it working with other Linux distributions as well.

While not tested, the modem should work with either the slmodem or Linuxant module.

This is my first laptop. Very good one coming with reasonable configuration of that time, even includes serial and parallel ports (which is very good for electronic experiments). Almost all components are working perfectly with GNU/Linux, especially Mandriva Linux versions.
