Notes

Tried out both Ubuntu 7.10 and OpenSuse 10.3 (i386)

I needed to recompile the latest ALSA driver to get sound working on the
headphone and mic. Internal mic doesn't work.

Wireless needed to download the firmware, afterwards it works.

I wasn't able to install Windows XP on the notebook but I didn't have any
problems installing Linux on it :)

Summary

There is a little configuration work required to get the most out of the Acer Extensa 4620. However after this is complete the 4620 works just fine with Linux.
