Notes
Tried out both Ubuntu 7.10 and OpenSuse 10.3 (i386)I needed to recompile the latest ALSA driver to get sound working on the
headphone and mic. Internal mic doesn't work.
Wireless needed to download the firmware, afterwards it works.
I wasn't able to install Windows XP on the notebook but I didn't have any
problems installing Linux on it :)
Summary
There is a little configuration work required to get the most out of the Acer Extensa 4620. However after this is complete the 4620 works just fine with Linux.Have you installed Linux on this laptop? If so how about leaving a comment about your success in the comments section below.
