Notes
The microphone does not seem to function properly at the moment. Hopefully an ALSA update will fix this issue. An up to date distribution is required to get much of the hardware in this laptop working properly. Ubuntu 7.10, Fedora 8 and other distributions release around this time should support the Extensa 5620 just fine.
Summary
The Acer Extensa 5620 works just fine under Linux. As long as a recent Linux distribution is used you shouldn't have any problems at all.Have you installed Linux on this laptop? If so how about leaving a comment about your success in the comments section below.
