Notes
Currently the open source radeon driver does not support the ATI Mobility Radeon x1600. However support is available in the current version of the proprietary ATI driver. The proprietary driver is required for the display to function.Related Resources

Summary
Like all Intel Core notebooks, it is recommended to use a Linux distribution with kernel 2.6.16 or greater on the Acer TravelMate 8200.
