Notes

The NVidia GeForce Go7600 chip can function either with the 'nv' driver included with Xorg or the proprietary driver from NVIDIA.You can view our Configuring a nVidia graphics chip installation guide for further details.

The ethernet port on the Asus A6Jm is supported by the r1000 driver. This is a proprietary driver so is not included with most Linux distributions. You can fetch this driver from here. When kernel version 2.6.19 is release it should have built in support for the ethernet port so no extra installation will be required.

Summary

The ethernet controller is the major issue with the Asus A6Jm, but this should be solved shortly. The other features of this laptop work fine.
