Notes
The NVIDIA GeForce 8400M in the Asus A8SC is not currently supported by the Xorg 'nv' driver. You will need to install the nvidia proprietary driver for the 8400M to work. See the guide below for details.On many Linux distributions sound doesn't work unless you compile and install the latest ALSA drivers. At least version 1.0.15rc3 is needed. Some distributions, like Ubuntu 7.10, doesn't require this.
