Introduction

This is a guide to running Linux with the Asus F3Jr laptop. This laptop is powerful laptop with some nice specifications. Linux is well supported here.

Notes

The Mobility Radeon x2300 in the F3Jr is not yet supported by Linux so you will need to use the proprietary fglrx driver from ATI. For installation instructions view our Configuring an ATI graphics chip guide.

Summary

Some fiddling was required to get the display on the F3Jr working under Linux but after this is done the F3Jr works very well.
