Notes
The ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 in the Asus L5C is compatible with both the the open source radeon driver and ATI's proprietary fglrx driver. Our installation instruction are available here. This Broadcom BCM4303 controller in the Asus L5C does not have any native drivers so ndiswrapper will need to be used. NDISwrapper need windows drivers to function, these can be found here.

Summary
With the issues with the wireless controller, the Asus L5C is difficult to configure especially for new Linux users. Other features are easier to configure so if the wireless controller is not essential this is still a good laptop.Have you installed Linux on this laptop?
