Graphics
The NVIDIA Geforce 9500M needs the latest version of the nvidia drivers to function. Most Linux distributions don't include this so manual installation in necessary. Check out the guides section on this site for installation details.Audio
For full audio support you will need to use ALSA version 1.0.16 or grater. Like the graphics controller, most Linux distributions only have an older version so you will need to install it manually. Again, check the guides section on this site for installation details.Webcam
The webcam works with the Linux-uvc driver. Some (Ubuntu 7.10) Linux distributions include this driver while other don't. Check our guides section for installation details.Summary
There is some configuration work required for the Asus M50SV to function properly with Linux however nothing exceptionally difficult is necessary.
