Notes

To get the ATI graphics chip in the Asus W3J to function you can use either the open source radeon driver or ATI's proprietary fglrx driver. For installation instructions, you can view our Configuring an ATI graphics chip guide. 3D support requires the usage of the proprietary driver.

The audio system in the W3J needs ALSA version 1.0.14rc1 or higher. Since at this time no Linux distribution includes this you will need to install it manually.

Summary

A little bit of Linux knowledge is required to get the audio in the Asus W3J working properly under Linux. Other features do work fine and future Linux releases should resolve the audio problem as well.
