Notes
The Asus W6A's native screen resolution is 1280x800 but due to the way the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 operates this resolution isn't usable right away. A guide we have written called Configuring the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 & 950 should help you in this regard. For the sound system to work on the W6A you will need to edit the /etc/modprobe.conf (or your Linux distribution's equivalent) file and add the following:
options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1 model=asus

Summary
The W6A does require a little bit of configuration work to get it working properly on Linux. However this shouldn't be too difficult to do and the notebook works great after this is done.Have you installed Linux on this laptop?
