Introduction

This is a guide to running Linux with the HP-Compaq Presario V2000 laptop. The Presario V2000 is an AMD Turion based system with nice specifications. Unfortunately the V2000 includes a Broadcom wireless controller making Linux configuration difficult.

Notes

Being that there is a Broadcom based wireless controller in the Presario V2000 it makes the Linux installation tricky. You will need to use the ndiswrapper driver to get the wireless working. You can use these windows drivers with ndiswrapper and follow the installation instructions here guide.
