Notes

The modem needs the proprietary Linuxant driver to function.

You may have issues selecting certain resolutions with an external monitor. If this is the case you will need to update your version of Xorg. This will fix the problem.

Some versions of the Thinkpad R52 include a ATI based graphic card. This works with both the Xorg 'radeon' driver and the proprietary driver from ATI. You will have better 3D support from the proprietary driver. Our guides cover this installation.

Some versions of the Thinkpad use a Atheros based wireless controller. You can use the Madwifi driver for support which is included with most Linux distributions.
