Notes

The LG TX laptop uses and external USB optical drive. Linux can be installed from this.

You will need to use this experimental module for the wired network to work. It is not included in any Linux distribution that I know of so you will need to compile and install it yourself.

For the TX's NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 graphics chip you can use both the open source 'nv' module and NVIDIA's proprietary 'nvidia' module. For instructions on installing this driver you can view our Configuring a nVidia graphics chip guide.

Summary

Due to the ethernet controller, the LG TX Express can be a problem for people who need to use a wired network.
