Notes

Wireless

It appears some versions of the V100 may use the Broadcom 4312 wireless controller rather than the Intel 3945 tested here. If anybody can supply information about this that would be great. It would likely need the ndiswrapper driver so it would be harder to use than the Intel 3945.

Summary

There were no problems in getting the Lenovo 3000 V100 working when used with an up to date Linux distribution.

Sound problem and Screen can be solved

by valspok, Saturday 03 of May, 2008 [07:58:40 UTC]
Hi,
I also had a problem with sound on both headphones and speakers, but upgrading to Hardy fixed it. I have not tested myself the external screen, but I readthat the Fn+F7 key can be fixed (or you can switch by logging off and on again so that the screen can be detected).
