Introduction

This is a guide to running Linux with the Sony VAIO VGN-C laptop. The VGN-C series is a smaller size laptop which also has great Linux compatibility.

Notes

With the native screen resolution of the VAIO VGN-C being 1280x800 you will need to use the 915resolution tool to get the display working at this resolution. For instructions on how to use the 915resolution tool can be found in the Configuring the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 & 950 guide.

Summary

It was pretty straight forward to install Linux on the Sony VAIO VGN-C. Only some minor configuration with 915resolution was required to get the laptop working well.
