For the ATI Mobility Radeon x600 found on the M60 either the open source radeon or ATI's proprietary fglrx driver can be used. See our Configuring an ATI graphics chip guide for more details on using the fglrx driver.'External Amplifier' needs to be turned on in the audio mixer (kmix for example) for audio to work on the M60.
