I have no need for Webcam, Express Card, Modem or Bluetooh so I have not and likely will not test them. Backlight control doesn't seem to work either. Neither the function keys nor the software controls seem to be able to change the screen brightness. Again, for me this is not a major issue as I'm plugged in most of the time anyway. All other features work out of the box with the openSuse installation. (1 March 2011) Works perfectly with Ubuntu 10.10, but can encounter problems with other distros (KMS not working properly, can't resume from standby etc.). You can use either the Broadcom STA driver or the b43 driver with LP/PHY firmware (I use b43 and it hasn't failed me). Backlight control DOES work. ===== Summary ===== HP's support page provides no Linux drivers for this laptop but so far I've found it to run very well with Linux.
