Notes

Graphics

For the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 you will need to install the ATI's proprietary fglrx module to get proper display support since the X.org drive does not yet support this controller. You can find instructions in doing this in the guides section.

Wireless

For wireless to function you need to use a Linux distribution which includes kernel 2.6.27 or greater. Older kernels do not support the Broadcom controller. Ubuntu 8.10 works well for this.

Summary

The Broadcom controller in the HP-Compaq 6735B makes this a poor choice for Linux. This is typical for laptops with Broadcom wireless as Broadcom in general doesn't support Linux properly at all.
