The CPU fan in this system does not seem to work correctly, it remains running much longer than appears to be necessary.
This does not appear to work. It looks like Ubuntu tries to adjust the screen brightness but nothing actually happens.
Currently there are a few small issues with the Acer Aspire 3935 under Linux but for the most part it works fairly well.

brightness control works with the latest bios update from acer(i think its v1.02)
sorry for the question but how did you update, and wich is the linux distribution you use. I'm using last kubuntu and brigthness dont works
