Everything is perfect, but the computer does not run more than a hour with ubuntu 10.04 too.
I think Acer Aspire is worst indeed, which can't run any linux distribution for more than a hour in my case (even Parted Magic). More to say, it shut down during installation of most linux distribution. What more point there should be to say that Acer is bad???
I really hate using Acer!

if using Ubuntu:

Card Reader will work, if the memory card is inserted before booting Ubuntu. In that case removing and reinserting the card works well.
But if there is no card in cardreader before booting, there will be no reaction to the card inserting.

Hey!

Computer crashes doring installation via live-cd
installation works if your doing it in win vista, but will crash during start.

And the support for ubuntu is worthless…so my conclusion, don't bother trying ubuntu on this comp, stick with the windows because even they are better for this one.

Cheers!
