My Acer 5745g Can't find any bluetooth devices like my Logitech mouse and my phone. I went into control panel and under hardware and sound i clicked on add a device but nothing ever comes up. I've looked all around the laptop to see if there is a slide button to turn on bluetooth but there isn't one. There's three little lights on the laptop 2 of them are blue and the wireless light is orange. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. But yeah any help would be much appreciated.Bold Text

Try to find your ethernet controlly via lspci (as root).
I have “Attansic Technology Corp. Device 1073” ethernet controller, and it works out of box (Mandriva 2010.1)

you will need latest kernel if you want this card to work (or compile the driver yourself), i run 2.6.37 and eth0 works just fine :)

As far as I know, battery monitor fails to work because of a bug in BIOS. You can update it, but doing so might void the warranty! Improper updation of BIOS will be worse than a tour to hell, so be very careful about it.
Eject button doesn't function. You can right-click the panel, add a custom launcher with command “eject cdrom” [without quotes], now click the launcher to eject the tray.(must on Knoppix-gnome, works fine on Ubuntu/Linux Mint)
Atheros ethernet driver is available, you'll have to compile it and reboot the system to get ethernet enabled. Search Ubuntu forums to get the download link.

Everything seems to work on Fedora 13 except the battery monitor which always shows plugged in. Have to watch the wireless network being turned off if the battery runs out. Fix is to press Fn-F3 on restart.
Like to know how to fix the battery monitor.

The battery monitor can be fixed with a BIOS upgrade. You'll need to go to the website and download it and run the flashing software on windows.

Opensuse 11.3 (KDE)
Problem with battery monitor (always shows 0% and AC plugged, despite what's actually going on). Eject key does not work but you can run the eject command at console. Wi-fi and sound work fine. Haven't tried wired ethernet.
