Nearly everything works out of the box. DSL connection work if set with pppoeconfig (nm-applet does not work properly). Microphone works after one put to zero one of the microphones channels with pavucontrol. The wireless signal was unstable until the update done from the web.
It says here that Bluetooth isn't tested, but from what I've seen, it doesn't work in 10.04. Has anyone successfully got it to work?

Mine works fine here with Gentoo and bluez/blueman out of the box.

Greetings;
I posted this to another Aspire One page accidentally.
I have an Aspire One 532h (NAV50) running Ubuntu 10.04 that I simply love, but it has one major problem: The SD Card slot refuses to work.
I've run the install several times, both with and without a SD card in the slot. It doesn't appear. I've tried everthing short of opening the netbook up and verifying a connector is there. Anyone here have ANY suggestions?

Can't install Ubuntu 10.04, hangs after language selection. Boots from USB stick, but haven't tested what works since I won't be using a linux from a USB stick (I have some pride :). Would like to get it to install! VM player can install 10.04 on top of win 7 (BTW, great improvement on this one MS) but its slow enough to make me try and figure out how to install. Any suggestions on installation parameters? TIA.

Everything works great here (10.04, I've had no issues with WIFI at all), even suspend and sleep mode. And the Webcam works instantly in Cheese. Haven't tried the card reader yet, but I take your word for it that it doesn't work.

I've been unable to get my 532h to boot Ubuntu (10.04 or 9.10) from USB, it simply hangs with an error about being unable to mount /dev/loop1. Did you have to pass any special kernel parameters to boot?

Running the RC for Ubuntu Lucid Lemur netbook remix on my AO 532h. Right now, everything seems to work EXCEPT the card reader. Webcam works, wireless works (no stability problems as with 9.10, microphone works.

yes your right mostly every thing works I just bought my aspire one 532h for my birthday and I got every thing to work but the things I had problems with is the web cam I mean I can take pictures but that's it the sound is low but there's a work around for that and the wifi sucks out of the box but there's a work around for that but it still acts up every now and again but if your not the type to weight around then its not for you but for the most part it works it just needs some fine tuning but its not worth getting if you want to do more than just getting on the Internet or downloading songs or watching movie's bloging ect over all its a decent “baby” laptop and I do put on “baby”

No kernel parameters, I installed from an USB stick created from the windows program (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/).
