The Laptop cant boot to the OS, or does it mean that the preinstalled linux is not working? do i need to load a fresh OS? even at that it crashes with a blue screen display on trying to load Win XP. Please somebody help

I selected AHCI in SATA Mode….its not working. I selected IDE…Win Xp installed but many times failed…(blue screen then it re-starts

Its preinstalled linux was not complete. I installed OpenSuse 11.1. Nearly all parts of its hardware work well with OpenSuse. It seems that its screen is plasma, not LCD.
