This is a guide to running Linux with the Asus A6U laptop, model A6QU32DL56PG. One of only a few laptops with the AMD Turion64 processor. Its Linux compatibility is not the best.
This guide is intended to provide you details on how well this laptop works with Linux and which modules you need to configure. For details on how to actually install and configure the required modules have a look at our guides section for distribution specific instructions.
You will need to use the ndiswrapper module for the Broadcom wireless controller. A Howto for ndiswrapper is available here, with the Windows files available here. There is also a set of native modules called bcm43xx, but these were not tested.
