I have been using my k72f with several flavours of linux, conky is telling me that i am currently running the 2.6.32-5-AMD64 kernel on a #! Linux build and I am very happy with it. I have kept the Win7 that came with it, and I'm dual booting it for Traktor, which I haven't been able to work properly with my S2 controller in Wine. The W7 having practically never been on the internet, is pretty fast, for a Windows, but I have done some A/B tests using the open source audio editor Audacity, and by using Win7 and Ubuntu 1010, same pc, same files; it took Windows an average of 2/3 more time than Linux to process whatever I told it to. Impressed, and I'm thinking a light weight distro like #! will perform even better. Now if only Native Instruments and Image-Line would release Traktor and FL Studio for Linux. !

I found the solution for suspend/hibernate and touchpad on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit
Suspend/Hibernate:
The solution is here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9180298&postcount=7
It will unbind the usb modules before suspend and hibernate
Touchpad:
1. Workaround:
I use it myself, it just basicly disables the touchpad completly with a shell script. I've attached that script to a keyboard shortcut, so i can turn it of quikly.

2. Solution:
You can find a patch which probably works for the Asus K72F too:

Hope this is helpfor for anyone.
@Aznguy:
- Ethernet work perfectly
- I get full resoltion (1600×900)

Yes, Asus K72F works quite well with Ubuntu 10.04 64bit.
Suspend and Hibernate is not working, but it works if I disable USB in BIOS. Trying to find a solution for that, not yet found.
Also the Touchpad on/off hotkey is not functioning (Fn+F9)!
The touchpad works, and even the multitouch gestures works.

Hey, I was wondering what drivers have you used for Ethernet and what resolution you can use?
Best regards,
