This is a guide to running Linux with the Asus M3N laptop. The M3N is a middle level laptop but does include a high resolution screen although this means some extra configuration work is required under Linux.
This guide is intended to provide you details on how well this laptop works with Linux and which modules you need to configure. For details on how to actually install and configure the required modules have a look at our guides section for distribution specific instructions.
As standard, the native screen resolution of the Asus M3N is 1400×1050. Due to how the Intel Extreme Graphics functions this resolution may not be available right away, requireing the use of the 915resolution utility. You can view our Configuring the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 & 950 guide for more information.
