I should note that in 9.10 wireless works no problem.
USB and hotpluggable devices do not recognize because udevd is busy all the time, hogging up the CPU. The reason it is so busy is because the i915 Intel driver is buggy, if you use vesa or if we can ever get the Nvidia driver to work then it is fine. There are patches available for the intel driver I am not sure if they work.

Ubuntu 9.10: Nvidia proprietary drivers do not work, needed to append i915.modeset=0 to kernel line for grub to start reliably (weird intermittent problem). Problems with USB, cannot recognize my flash drive, no matter which of the three ports I try. And the keyboard backlight doesn't work. Anyone else have problems with the USB and/or have gotten it to work?

Has anyone gotten the Nvidia card to run on any version of linux and if so how? I'm currently running ubuntu 9.10 and it is not recognized. The graphics are terrible now since the cpu is doing all the graphics processing. Please, this is really frustrating. Thanks
