I'm testing on wheezy ( debian 7 ) my dell adamo 13. All is working very well except integrated microphone. what is possible to do to make it works?

I am running Kubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) and…
1) Thanks for the sound comment, I needed that before being able to make the headphone jack work.
2) The (built in) mic still does not work. Adding the dell-m6 line to alsa-base.conf brought up a new mic volume control (called “Mic 2”), but unmuting it still did not make a difference. I also have had two capture options that I have checked and so at the moment I am out of ideas.
Any help or suggestion would be appreicated.
Thanks! -K

ps: by the way, bluetooth and camera are both working out of the box (Kubuntu 10.04).

I have a Dell Adamo running Elive (Debian Lenny). It works very well. Sound needs “options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m6” to the end of /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf External Monitor doesn't work
