Bluetooth is disabled cannot Turn On
no response while clicking on “Turn On Bluetooth”. I have tried almost all packages listed for Bluetooth but no use.

The inbuilt Ubuntu version given by Dell Vostro 1015 when purchased worked fine. It supported all (Bluetooth, WiFi,sound,webcam etc). But later I upgraded by installing Ubuntu 11.04 Natty. And the Bluetooth problem started. I even did not take back up of the inbuilt Ubuntu version.

Please help me to get the Bluetooth work.

I would be very grateful if anybody could help me.

With your browser go to the ftp.dell.com and find the folder named OS.Then fin a ubuntu-10.04-dell_A00.iso.That is that integrated system.

I had problem with sound. I always had sound from both my built-in speakers and headphones. I had found the solution in installing, updating and retuning my alsa. Just follow the commands [url=http://help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/alsa]on this site[/url] (it's in russion)

For the jack headset problem:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-alsa-lucid-generic
sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
add line: options snd-hda-intel model=dell-vostro enable=1 index=0

After this, which upgrades the kernel, I have problems with the wireless card…

I had problem with dell vostro 1015 and Fn+F11 key that has function to enable / disable wireless.. The led didn't show light and I could not enable it till I instaled bcmwl-kernel-source
Than everything worked fine after installation…
