No wireles connection: VOSTRO 1720 / UBUNTU 10.10 / SMC7904WBRA2.
It used to work, but now I can't acces the wireles network - it's “not aktivated”:

Hard blocked: yes

Hi I have a dell vostro 1720 and I am thinking of installing Sun Solaris 10 on it. Does anyone foresee any hardware compatibility issues?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I have a Vostro 1720 with Ubuntu 9.10 too. For me the Card Reader and the Webcam works without any manual configuration. I only installed cheese to test the webcam and it works fine.

Hello, I have a vostro 1720 with ubuntu 9.10. The webcam doesnt work. How did you manage to install it? Do you think I should use ubuntu 9.04 instead?

Thanks!

When the compatibility = “yes”, the comment should say which driver worked for you, what configuration was used, etc. works on ubuntu doesn't mean it works anywhere else.
