Notes

Graphics

The standard graphic controller for the HP Pavilion dv6700t is the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 which is supported by all up to date Linux distributions.

Other models may come with the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M which will require the proprietary NVIDIA module to function fully.

Wireless

The Intel based wireless controller works just fine with this laptop. The dv6700t may also be ordered with a non-Intel wireless controller. No information is available about this option and should be avoided.

Summary

The HP Pavilion dv6700t is an excellent choice for Linux. All the hardware works perfectly out of the box with minimal configuration work required.
