i have hp compac6510b. i installed red hat 5 server.but display is not coming.only cui is coming.how to make it right…
I tried to boot fedora 12 and ubuntu installed in external USB pocket drive but it did not work. The grub cannot load successfully. The same thing is Working fine on my Lenovo.
Some sort of ACPI problems. When unplugging ac-adapter systemp rises to about 51C. The fan kicks in and cools it down to about 44C and so on. Default temp is about 39C.
This symptom also appears if cpu-usage has been high for some amount of time.
Not a major issue, but somewhat disturbing.
Great laptop. Tried Fedora Core 10 installation. Everything went well, except for the wireless. It seems that the wireless card is put in the 'off' state. As the kill switch is software based, you can't turn it on, and hence cannot use wireless. There is probably a workaround for it, but I have not yet found it. Sofar, everything else looks good, although I haven't completely tested the graphics yet.
Hello, I have the HP Compaq 6510b with wxga+ screen, bluetooth, intel 3945ABG, T7300, 2Gb ram… On Debian Squeeze 2.6.26-2-686.
Card reader, bluetooth and finger print reader are working perfeclty. Modem not tested, but there are some possible solutions. Everthing else is working out of the box except the HP 3D DriveGuard Sensor (for that feature kernel support is coming in the future).
