Notes

For best results with the T60, you should use a Linux distribution with kernel 2.6.16 or greater.

Graphics

Some versions of the T60 use the Intel Media Accelerator 950 graphics chip. Use the i810 module for these laptops.

Some versions of the T60 use the ATI Mobility Radeon x1300 and x1400 graphics chip. The open source radeon module does not support this chip yet but you can get it working with the proprietary ATI module.

Summary

You should use a Linux distribution which includes kernel 2.6.16 or greater, such as Fedora Core 5. With an up to date distribution this notebook is easy to get going.

T60 works perfectly

The T60 runs PCLinuxOS and k/ubuntu perfectly.
