This is a guide to running Linux with the IBM-Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t laptop. The ThinkPad Z61t from Lenovo is a lower end laptop but with a large screen. Linux support on the Z61t is excellent.

As default the screen resolution of the ThinkPad Z61t is 1280×768 but because of the way the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 functions this resolution isn't available right away. After a small amount of configuration work the IBM-Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t has no problems at all with Linux. The hardware inside the Z61t is well supported.

just installed ubuntu on my Z61t - so far all works well with the exception of the built in web-cam. I'm impressed… but will continue to test devices. Wireless worked seamlessly.
