This is a guide to running Linux with the Lenovo 3000 C100 laptop, model 076122M.
This guide is intended to provide you details on how well this laptop works with Linux and which modules you need to configure. For details on how to actually install and configure the required modules have a look at our guides section for distribution specific instructions.
For the wireless controller you will need to use the ndiswrapper module. For installation instructions, you can view our Configuring the ndiswrapper module guide. The Windows drivers can be downloaded from here.
Some models of this notebook use the Intel 2915 wireless controller. This is supported by the ipw2200 module.
Apart from the wireless controller this laptop is easy to use with Linux. While you can get the wireless controller to work, dealing with ndiswrapper may be confusing for inexperienced users.

Firewire and SD/MMC card reader work fine in Ubuntu 8.10. My Lenovo 3000 C100 came with DVD+RW, 80GB HD.
