Hi. I have been using the s12 (ion version) with ubuntu for about 8 months now. went through the 9.10, 10.4, and now 10.10 distros. it works like magic! gave me the ability to take this poor CPU laptop and use it a do all computer. i do much programming, and this little thing, when linux is used, enables me to keep on working from home, road and so on. I also use it as a portable HTPC. the HD ability needs some tweaking to work correctly, but over all it does the job, without any mods. i highly recommend this combination for anyone looking for a very portable, fully capable, low budget laptop. hag
