I tested this Notebook with Ubuntu 11.04 x86_84 Edition.
You must plug an Ethernet Cable during Installation, or Unity will not work.

If wireless is locked, you must type in a terminal:
echo 'options acer_wmi wireless=1' | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/acer-wmi.conf
After that you must reboot.
To start clearly, you must plug an Ethernet Cable to get Updates during the Installation, or Unity wont work.
The Fingerprint Sensor dont work aes2501 or bioapi driver.
Ubuntu 11.04 runs very fast on this Notebook. Only the suspend mode has a long load time. Battery time is with wireless 4:30 hours and without 5:30 up to 6:00 hours.
