Notes

Support is generally good. Special keys (Sound volume, brightness etc) work. Suspending works great and does drain a minimal amount of battery. Kernel still says: thinkpad_acpi: Not yet supported ThinkPad detected!

Bluetooth and Cardreader works outofthebox.
Fingerprint Reader works after a small installation, but not as fast as under the preinstalled W7.
Sometimes there is an issue with the volumekeys under xfce.
Wifi is not working outofthebox with Fedora.
The ThinkpadACPI is working mostly.
No freezes or similar with Xubuntu 11.04.
Xubuntu 11.10 sucked a bit by release, not tested again.

Notebook: Lenovo ThinkPad L412 (4403-52G).
Spec: P6000/2GB/Intel HD Graphics/250GB/wifi/bt/lan/cam

1. Ubuntu 10.10 amd64 - X-server not configured and start properly.
2. Ubuntu 10.10 i686 - also.
3. Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 - thinkpad_acpi: Not yet supported ThinkPad detected!. Result - on LiveCD not worked hotkeys and bt + wifi.
4. Ubuntu 10.04.2 (kernel 2.6.35-22) - worked fine from box. Upgrade to 2.6.35-23 - work properly.
