With openSUSE11.2 and Fedora12 there are some issues with AMD's graphics driver and with WiFi. Ubuntu9.10 was the only one making them work out-of-the-box. The card reader and the bluetooth subsystem have not been tested.
MSI CX620 Intel core i3 Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5470. Works great with Ubuntu 10.XX and Archlinux, everything work out of the box for me :D
Note : the lastest Ati driver works pretty well in Ubuntu, just need to download the .run from the official web site

Using Ubuntu for over a year on MSI CX600. Clean formatted hard drive using GParted, split 25gB off for Win7 Pro x86, rest for Ubuntu. Only issue was the ATI driver was trash and caused random system freezes (probably what sixdiamants was experiencing). Using default installed drivers worked flawlessly. I cannot get Bluetooth to work, but to be fair, it hasn't worked since I purchased the machine (1.5yr ago) even in Windows 7 Home (and Pro).

I have just installed Ubuntu 9.10 and everything I need works fine, but MTU size had to be tweaked a bit ('sudo ifconfig eth0 mtu 1492'). As I have not even tried to use Wifi/Webcam/Bluetooth (nor will I ever do it), I have no idea whether they work or not.

I succesfully installed ubuntu 9.10. Graphics are good but neither wifi nor webcam works. Has anybody fixed this up?

Installed Ubuntu 9.10, other versions (among which openSUSE and Fedora), gave me some problem with the WiFi and graphics chipset, they ran but the PC was unusabl. Now the HD4330 is using AMD's driver and works well, audio and wifi are working but the camera isn't even seen using lsusb. The card reader hasn't been tested. I am on the verge of updating the BIOS. I'll refer here if there will be some changes

I suppose that you installed the RT3090 package to get wifi working. It is nasty that Ubuntu didn't get this NIC right out of the box. I doubt whether a BIOS update improves things - it didn't for me.
Does anyone experience regular X-freezes? I wonder whether they're due to the fglrx driver.

No, MSI CX600 can't even show the linux installation page.
with a already-installed usb linux disk, even the grub can't be booted.

I succesfully installed Ubuntu 9.10 on this machine using a bootable USB-stick. As today, I some problems remain: - Sound is often garbled. Work-around is to unload the driver and re-install. - Can't switch on bluetooth. - Machine freezes every second boot (X freeze ?)
