Notes

Sound

Sound works (at least with Fedora 10) after making a adjustment to the loading of the snd-intel-hda module. Add the following line to your /etc/modprobe.conf or equivalent file (ubuntu is /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf):

options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-dig probe_mask=1

Summary

The MSI EX620 works quite well after making the change above to fix the sound issue.

The sound is working after this configuration, but the subwoofer not. The subwoofer is starting with special key. Any suggestion how to start subwoofer. Thanks

Thank you. Works on Ubuntu 9.10 but the file to be edited is /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
