On my VR630, with linux mandriva 2010.0, the webcam does work, in skype and with the program kamoso.
What I don't seem to get working is the suspend & hibernate. Suspend wil work one time after a reboot, and from the second time, it will resume instantly after the suspend. With hibernate, the laptop simply locks up behind a black screen. Nothing can be done. Resetting and wait a long time before the hard disk has been (automatically) tested … .
Any suggestions welcome!

Have Ubuntu 10.04 running on this laptop as well.

Processor Works
Screen Works
HDD Works
Optical Drive Works
Graphics Works
Sound Works
Ethernet Works
Wireless Works
Modem Not Tested
USB Works
Card Reader Works
Webcam Not Tested

LED buttons: Work

Movie Playback & Eco buttons obviously don't work, since they depend on MSI software / power management.

Webcam doesn't work and I realy want it to work. Anybody some pointers?

The led buttons:
trying to control totem (play, stop, back, forward) makes totem hang.
you do can control rythmbox
The button for starting 'the' media player doesn't work
The 'eco' button doesn't seem to work
The other ones, I'm not shure if they work…

Greatings,

Dadio.
