Notes

Tested with Mandriva 2009.1.
Required update to the proprietary nVidea driver in order to display video properly. Update of the video driver disabled touchpad scrolling in the xorg.conf configuration file, but was easily restored by copying back the appropriate Synaptics touchpad lines from the xorg.conf.backup created.

Summary

Linux on the Toshiba Qosmio G50 is well supported, and once the video driver was updated, runs perfectly. No other issues were encountered with the installation of Linux on the G50.

On mine, bluetooth works only after a reboot from Windows.
Using Mandriva Cooker (will be 2009.10).
