This is a guide to running Linux with the Toshiba Portege M300 laptop, model PPM30A-05L001. The M300 works well with Linux, most of the hardware is working.
This guide is intended to provide you details on how well this laptop works with Linux and which modules you need to configure. For details on how to actually install and configure the required modules have a look at our guides section for distribution specific instructions.
I didn't get a chance to test the modem in the M300, but it should work with the smartlink module. If that doesn't work it will almost certainly work with the Linuxant module.
