Does not work out of the box. You need the latest version of the proprietary NVIDIA drivers from nvidia web site for full support. Installation finishes perfectly and card can handle big OPENGL Linux games (Vegastrike, Tremulous, etc.) with highest details

The X500-11Q was tested with Ubuntu 10.04 “Lucid Lynx” Out of the box, Lucid Lynx is working pretty well (apart from the bugs of Lucid Lynx itself, of course).
This is how it looks on my Debian: cat /etc/modprobe.d/sdhci.conf options sdhci debug_quirks=0x40
I've also added the same to /etc/modprobe.conf because for some reason sometimes it doesn't work, I'm just unloading and loading module once more and it is ok, but it's not often.

I've bought x505 model and Card Reader works, there is some bug in software or in driver, you need to create one file in /etc/modprobe.d search internet for details

Hi,
I have the X500-02g which is basically the same as yours but with different options. I have the same multimedia buttons and I am unable to make them work under Gentoo 64-bit.
You said above that your multimedia keys worked in Ubuntu on your X500-11Q. Does that include the “Eco” button and the “Media” button directly beneath it?
I wonder could you please tell me, did you have to do any configuration to get them working?
Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit Ubuntu? This matters as there is a Toshiba support module in the kernel that cannot be built in 64 bit mode and I suspect that may be contributing to my problem.
I have tried hotkeys, keytouch, lineak and xmodmap/xbindkeys extensively and none work. There is a deeper problem here which I suspect lies in the kernel I am using.
Thanks in advance!
