This is a guide to running Linux with the Toshiba Satellite L35 laptop. The Satellite L35 is a good low end laptop but does require some Linux knowledge to configure it properly.

For the audio in the Satellite L35 to work you will need to install ALSA version 1.0.14rc4 or higher. At this time there is no Linux distribution which includes this as standard so you will need to install it manually. You will also need to add the following like into your /etc/modprobe.conf (or your distro's equivalent) file:
options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-digout
The Toshiba Satellite L35 currently has issues with sound under Linux however this can be fixed with some configuration work. Future Linux distribution will likely resolve this issue.

I have installed FEDORA 10 on my toshiba L35, it is installed successfully, all accessories are working except Sound and while running Fedora, after few minutes it stops working, I dont know what is the matter with it, then I restarts machine. it hangs.
