I've been running Ubuntu on this laptop, and was unsuccessful til i pu t the Hardy release upgrade on. I power up with the external display disconnected. When i choose the ubuntu linux kernel in grub, i immediately plug in the LCD display, and ubuntu finds it and uses it with no fuss (and no xorg.conf editing whatsoever on my part)
