This is a guide to running Linux with the Toshiba Satellite M50 laptop. The M50 is another Centrino based laptop but does include a good graphics chip.
This guide is intended to provide you details on how well this laptop works with Linux and which modules you need to configure. For details on how to actually install and configure the required modules have a look at our guides section for distribution specific instructions.
For the ATI Mobility Radeon x600 found in the M50 you may use either the open source radeon module or ATI's proprietary fglrx module. Our detailed installation guide can be found here. Only the proprietary module provides 3D support for this chip.
