This is a guide to running Linux with the Toshiba Satellite M70 laptop. The M70 is a Centrino based laptop with a standard set of internal components.
This guide is intended to provide you details on how well this laptop works with Linux and which modules you need to configure. For details on how to actually install and configure the required modules have a look at our guides section for distribution specific instructions.
You will need to use the ATI's proprietary fglrx module for 3D support from the ATI Mobility Radeon x700 in the M70. The open source radeon module does not support 3D. For installation instructions for the ATI driver you can view our Configuring an ATI graphics chip guide.
